THE UNION STRUGGLE GIVES RESULTS, AND YOU ARE NOT YET A MEMBER AND ENJOY YOUR RIGHTS?

After two years of persuasion that the vacation pay for 2020 should and must be paid, the Government, despite its opposition, gave in under the pressure of the lawsuits filed by the Union of UPOZ 

The UPOZ union as a signatory of the BRANCH COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT for the bodies of the state administration, the professional services of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, the courts, the public prosecutor's offices, the penal-correctional and educational-correctional institutions, the state attorney's office, the municipalities, the City of Skopje, the municipalities in the City of Skopje, the agencies, funds and other bodies established by the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia established rights for workers, although out of 26,000 workers, only about 5,500 are members who fought for all of them to have labor rights like K-15, which they now receive on their accounts.

Under the pressure of the UPOZ and the filed lawsuits, the Government made a conclusion obliging the budget users to provide the necessary funds for the payment of vacation pay within the approved own Budget for 2022 with internal redistribution among expenditure items.

– Taking into account the obligation to pay vacation pay for 2022 until the end of the current year (K-15), as well as the final court rulings and the announced further court proceedings to exercise the right to unpaid vacation pay for 2020, and with the aim of reducing the burden on the Budget based on court and lawyer costs, at the proposal of the Ministry of Finance, the Government adopted a conclusion by which the budget users and individual users covered by the Branch Collective Agreement will be charged the necessary funds for the payment of vacation pay for 2020 and 2022 in a net amount of 9,000 denars each, to provide them within the approved Budget for 2022, with internal redistribution between expenditure items, the announcement from the Government states.

For budget users who do not have real opportunities to provide the necessary funds for the payment of recourse with internal redistribution within their own Budget for 2022, it is planned to provide the funds with the Decision on redistribution of funds between budget users and funds.
