WOMEN WORKERS - UNION WOMEN IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY, FOR THEIR LABOR RIGHTS

The women's section of the SGIP union in Ohrid organized an international conference within the framework of the "EQUAL, UNITED, STRONG" campaign.

The international conference organized by SGIP was attended by seventy brave women workers from the construction sector from Macedonia, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Croatia, and Serbia, representatives of BWI (International Organization for Construction and Wood Industry) and EFBWW (European Federation for Construction and Wood Industry). who shared experiences about the challenges and problems they face.

The main topic for discussion was the role of women in the fair transition for equal rights, and presentations were made by Ivana Dimitrova, who is also the vice-chair of the European Women's Committee of BWI, Josefine Krantz, Nina Kreutzman, Zamaney Menso from BWI and EFBWW, as well as the participants from the unions from Croatia and Serbia.

At the conference, conclusions will be made about the further action of the Women's Committee of BWI.
