Today in the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia a working meeting between the President of CCM, Darko Dimovski and the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Jagoda Shahpaska, was held which was attended by Zlatko Cvetkovski, Secretary of the Council of SSM, Ljubisa Karanfilovski, the President of the Trade Union of Health, Ivan Peshevski, Vice President of SGIP, Ljupco Radovski, President of STKC and Mico Stojanovski, President of SRSVM.
At the meeting, the President of CCM, Dimovski once again presented the key requirements, i.e. the red lines of CCM, which have already been submitted to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy several times, and should be part of the new Labor Law, such as the requirement for a fixed-term employment contract to be a maximum of one year and its transformation after the end of that year to permanent contract, the maternity leave to be at least 12 months, to be no control period for overtime work, consistent respect of the right to salary regulation by law and CA, full realization of the right to annual leave, provision of safe and healthy working conditions in companies, mandatory regulation of employment rights with CA in companies employing over 30 workers, increase of the severance pay in case of dismissal for business reasons up to 12 net salaries, continuation of negotiations for the GCA for public sector, etc.
The President of CCM conveyed to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy the views of CCM regarding the regulation of the right Sunday to be a day of weekly rest, the request of CCM to increase the salary allowance for those activities at least 50%, i.e. 100%, as well as the regulation of the right, the day of weekly rest for those who will work on Sunday to be the day that precedes or follows the day.
The Secretary of the Council of CCM, Zlatko Cvetkovski, reminded of the request of CCM, COVID-19 to be recognized as an occupational disease and the isolation, self-isolation to be paid in the amount of 100% of the employee's salary base.
Ljupcho Radovski, President of STCC, informed the Minister about the problems of the textile workers, the transfer of workers from one company to another in order to conclude fixed-term employment contracts, as well as the need for collective immunization of the workers in this sector.
Ljubisa Karanfilovski, President of the Trade Union of Health asked the upper limit for the possibility of regulating the right to use annual leave for a maximum of 29 working days to be removed and to allow the CA to determine a larger number of days of annual leave, having taken into account the health professionals.
Ivan Peshevski, Vice President of SGIP appealed to the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to regulate the right to beneficial length of service for construction workers as soon as possible given the fact that all necessary documents to change the Rulebook have been prepared by the union and the employers.
