Due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year women workers were forced to work under specific working conditions, having illegal pay cuts, layoffs, pressure and harassment (mobbing) etc.
CCM, together with its partners from the ITUC and ETUC call on the Government to ratify the ILO C190 Convention on Violence and Harassment in the World at Work.
Employers and the Government need to prevent violence and harassment of women at work, at home or anywhere!
At the same time, women face low representation among legislators, officials and management positions, and when women find employment their salary is lower than men's, which does not correspond to the level of education of women, while the wage gap is most prevalent among the low-skilled. women, and therefore it is necessary to ensure equal participation of women in capital, in economic, social, political and cultural life.
We use the International Women's Day, March 8, to remind to the problems faced by women, and as CCM, over the past year we have worked and continue to work to protect our colleagues, fellow citizens and their labor rights.
Women have a place in the unions, we are United for the same purpose!
