On the occasion of June 20, the Memorial Day of the Construction Workers, the Union of SGIP, congratulates this day to all construction workers in our country.
The President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, Darko Dimovski has also sent a Letter of Congratulations on the occasion of this day.
In 1936, with the strike, the trade union organizing of the construction workers began, who established the first bodies of the Union. As their union, we have a great historical responsibility to continue to protect workers.
Our fundamental goals are improvement of the position of all employees in the construction sector, and fight for higher wages and better working conditions.
SGIP works and puts constant pressure on the state as the largest investor to provide decent work to these workers.
We remind that the eventual collapse of the construction sector would have a domino effect on the entire Macedonian economy.
