Within the project "On the way to the EU", from 7 to 10 May 2016 in Bechikji- Montenegro the plenary session of the Regional Trade Union Council "Solidarnost" was held. This session was attended by the Presidents of the unions from the countries of former Yugoslavia.
On this session the chairmanship from Macedonia to Montenegro was handed over.
The main topics covered on this meeting referred to the current situation with the legislation in the countries, the Report by the Executive Board of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), the Report of the Executive Board of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) and the development of a regional data base for branch collective agreements.
The session was also attended by Peter Nimitz, an adviser to the Secretary General of ETUC, who gave a support to this regional cooperation and noted that this project represents a mixture of different elements of work and experience.
